Ron Laughlin travels hundreds of miles each week bringing Veterans to and from the VA Hospital in the Twin Cities. He is also active in his local veterans organizations and is a member of the Honor Guard for the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
Laughlin signed up for the U.S. Navy a month before he graduated from high school in 1961. At 17 years old, his parents had to sign for him. He served from 1961-1966, including a stint in Southeast Asia at the beginning of the Vietnam War.
Knowing that many veterans have little to no support system, Laughlin shares his passion for his country and fellow soldiers by always making himself available to those in his community who are in need of care.
