One in a Million Award recipient: Sandi Lubrant

Where she’s multiplying good: Mankato, Minnesota

How she’s multiplying good: She is One in a Million. Sandi has been a tireless advocate for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias (AD/OAD) and their families. Since 2016, she has been the Team Lead for Mankato & North Mankato ACT on Alzheimer's, a volunteer-driven team committed to creating a dementia friendly community. She serves as the Program Director of their Singing Hills Chorus program, the chorus began in 2017 and was the first chorus in greater Minnesota based on the Giving Voice Initiative model. This chorus is community based and designed for people living with AD/OAD, care partners and volunteer singers. She has lobbied for state and federal policy changes for additional research funds and safety nets for people impacted dementia. In addition, Sandi has been a member of several Alzheimer's Association committees, including three years as Chair of the Mankato Walk to End Alzheimer's.
